The Best New Products

Content

At the most recent Consumer Electronics Show (CES), there were remarkable products showcased. This annual geektastic convention allows developers large and small to put forth the technological gadgets they believe will capture the public’s imagination and transform the way people interact with technology and each other. Here are some of the best products from this year’s event:

•Any of the stylish headphones endorsed by celebrities: It’s too early to know which ones are the most functional, but all were stylish and chic and many were endorsed by celebrated musicians.
•Tablet PCs: This field was another big one this year. Now that the iPad has cracked open the market for this new technology, other makers are scrambling to recover lost ground. Hewlett Packard showed a tablet that is especially exciting for writers.
•3D televisions: These were another major category at this year’s CES. Manufacturers are banking on the 3D fad being more than just a fad. They think people will want this technology in their homes.
•An underwater camera mounted on a scuba mask: Divers can take pictures from their perspective and without the fear of their camera plunging down into the depths.
•See Through Laptop-Samsung debuted a near transparent laptop. It may not be the most useful but it was definitely a design standout.
•Ford Focus Electric: This car can reach speeds of 84 miles per hour and has cut the standard charging time in half over its nearest competitor.
•iSonic Cane: This is an electric cane designed for the blind.  It shakes and vibrates if obstructions enter its pathway.
•Pixeloptics emPower Glasses: These glasses merge the needs of the near and far sighted with an elegant digital solution.

Keep an eye out for these products as they should be on the market soon. Or, at the very least, watch for their technology to become more commonplace amongst their competition.
